Evaluation of Different Types of Competence
L'évaluation de la compétence de communication dans la négociation commerciale face-à-face
Abstract
Teaching face-to-face business negotiation means, on the one hand, transmitting structures specific to this discourse genre, and, on the other hand, conveying the typical behaviour in this situation of communication. Hence, evaluation must check that both these skills have been acquired. The article describes a case where both summative and normative evaluations were applied. The former was done by simulations and its main criteria were adequacy to the situation of communication and the success of communication. The latter was carried out on the transcripts of these simulations and its criteria were adaptation to the parameters of the situation of communication and the level of the elements composing the situation of communication.
