Tests offered by the Educational Testing Service
Abstract
Educational Testing Service/ETS based in Princeton, New Jersey is the U.S. authority on standardized educational testing. ETS was responsible at the time the article was written for three standardized tests, TOEFL, GRE, and GMAT. The article provides a comprehensive presentation of the three tests extensively used for admission to study in the USA and beyond. Each test close-up highlights the purpose each test serves and then dwells on the structure and the sections of the tests under survey. Each test presentation covers also the test administration in Romania, provides information on test validity and, finally, outlines practical approaches to effective preparation for acing these standardized tests.
