Le communicatif en question
Abstract
The communicative approach in teaching French as a foreign language brought about changes in the content of teaching/learning. The purpose of this new approach is to teach learners to communicate in a foreign language, namely to shape their communication competence by applying language resources and other means (gesture, intonation, etc.). The new methods centered on contextualization and scenarios do not exclude the elements of "traditional" teaching/learning, such as reading and grammar.
