Anglicismes dans la terminologie médicale actuelle en roumain

Abstract

There is a significant presence of Anglicisms in the medical professional communication (especially in the literature), but also in acts of the European Union law. In this study, we tried to illustrate how these terms are included in the literature, with special attention for their standardization. It should be also noted that the linguistic problems raised by the adaptation of the new terminology in Romanian are complex (of phonetic, morphological nature) and sometimes overwhelming. The assimilation of Anglicisms offers research terminology a base study for solutions finding within the framework of Romanian linguistic standards, in the present case. Romanian linguistic standards must be considered in relation to the development of French medical terminology, the terminology with which Romanian has historical and structural close links.
