Résumé (en anglais)

Trying to build a synthesis obviously partial of the points of view expressed concerning the relations between language teaching and linguistics, this study aims to underline on the one hand, the nature of linguistical influences upon the language teaching/learning process and, on the other hand, to identify the reasons of their splitting up and of the new theoretical orientations of language teaching.
