Abstract

Intercultural competence is considered as a primordial constituent of communication skills. An effective teaching should take into consideration this dimension in learning/teaching foreign languages. The role of intercultural mediator (teacher) is also very important in the acquisition of this skill especially in exolingual situation in which the foreign culture is so different from that of the students. The objective of our article is to shed light on intercultural and mediation concepts in Jordanian university context.
