La condition des communautés minoritaires dans le roman africain contemporain : une analyse de « Gahi ou l'affaire autochtone » de Henri Djombo

This study analyses the condition of minorities, especially the indigenous (pygmies), in the novel Gahi ou l'affaire autochtone by Henri Djombo. Disenfranchised, oppressed and threatened with extinction, Aboriginal people are seen through the lens of stereotypes, considered as savages, and are ostracized by the Bantu people who deny them the right to exist. But the destruction of indigenous people leads to the destruction of the forest which is their natural living space. By the survival instinct they don't allow themselves to be destroyed. Based on postcolonial criticism and ecocriticism, the study analyses the modalities of fictionalizing the condition of this social category. The author calls for humanization of relationships between communities, despite their differences, and for a better consideration of human and environmental concerns.
